About once a week I'll mention something fantasy related and tonight I saw Giroux is on a 9 game point streak and couldn't help but think about his fantasy value this season. If you follow hockey at all you know Claude started the season off very slow which led to the Flyers lackluster start. But all great players find a way to get out of slumps and Giroux is no different. The reason why this is a Fantasy post is because if you had Giroux and traded him within the first month and a half of your season you're a fucking idiot. In my league Giroux's owner dealt him for Evgeni Nabokov. That's right, Evgeni Fucking Nabokov. Having an NHL GM caliber mindset I was in serious talks for Giroux but I believe I wasn't picked as a trade partner because my team was already stacked and he didn't want to make the best team any better. Moral of the story is never trade your first or second overall pick before you know for a fact they are going to have a shit the bed kind of season. Oh, and never trade a giroux for a Nabokov.
