Let's talk Hawks

Another OT loss last night, gotta tell ya I'm getting sick of this shit. Yeah I know every team goes through this during the season, even the best go through slumps. Even though it is the end of January and is ideally not a bad time to have a skid, these next 5 games before the Olympic break are huuuuge for the Hawks.

Let's check out the standings

Now obvously the Central is a bit better than the Pacific but check the top 5 teams of the Pacific. Now let's check our remaining schedule:

Vancouver tonight.

Do these teams look familiar? The top 5 teams in the Pacific maybe? All I'm saying is it won't be good to not have a winning record in these last 5 games before the Olympic break. Hawks need points especially vs western conference teams.

Now, Bickell played better last night I thought but he needs to be constant and can't be getting scratched anymore. I personally thought we overpaid him with his new contract but he doesn't need to be proving me right. Also, Raanta is young he's going to let in shitty goals but Crawford needs to prove he's the Stanley Cup winning goaltender and he can do so in these last 5 games.

Nothing to fret here with the Hawks, I've said it before and I'll say it again. As long as they stay healthy and by them I mean Kane, Toews, Hossa, Sharp, Keith, Seabrook and Crawford book the double deckers and get your place along Randolph Street. But these next 5 games, all of which are on the road are critical. Need 7 out of a possible 10 points.
