It's funny because just a couple days ago I thought to myself we haven't really seen Tortorella be himself (a crazy fucking lunatic) yet with the Canucks. So it's only perfect that this occurs all because the Flames start their 4th line..?
I was out of the office last night, playing a little puck of my own so I didn't really get the jist of all this until this morning. So if I'm understanding this correctly, Hartley started his 4th line to open the game. The players saw that and were chirping before hand and that's where the brawl ensues.
After the brawl, Torts puts on his little shtick with his yapping and finger pointing at Hartley who pays absolutley 0 attention to him, which pisses the little
pitt bull off even more.
So after the game in the hallway he tries to make his voice heard even more.. But gets absolutley overpowered.
Let's be honest here, Torts steals the show during this thing. Say the brawl happens and both coaches act like mature men and stand there and let the refs divvy out the penalties, the story isn't that big.
But of course that's not enough, he has to cause ruckus in the locker room hall way. Why? Because he's John Tortorella. I think he's annoying as fuck and so are the Canucks, so it's a perfect fit. But don't be surprised if Torts gets a 10 game suspension and the assistant comes in and leads them to a 10-0 record and The Johnny T era in Vancouver is over. Wouldn't that be great?
204 penalty minutes during the 60 minute game, 127 in the first 2 seconds.
